Echowyn is located in the foothills of the Sacramento Mountains of south central New Mexico. We are on five acres that provide peace to our world. Our home is shared with multiple Border collies, a couple goats, peacocks, and chickens.

Thirty years ago a little sable rescue walked into my life. She was looking for her forever family, which she found immediately. Scamper began my fascination with the breed. After 28 years of teaching elementary school, retirement called my name. The next chapter of life opened, allowing me to pursue further interests. One of those interests was involvement in the world of border collies. Scamper, the little sable, pushed me to pursue this dream. Through my border collies, there has been enjoyment in herding, obedience, rally,, therapy dog, and conformation to name a few.

Nancy Finch

Nancy Finch joined the Echowyn family 9 years ago when she and her family added their first Border collie, Nitro, to their family. Nancy currently works as a veterinarian receptionist. Their first Echowyn Border collie opened a journey she embraced 100% with dedication to the breed. Through the years, Nancy has been instrumental in figuring the coefficiency on possible breedings, grooming, and stepping into the conformation ring when needed.

Without the support of our husbands, Doug and Randy, the continued journey of Echowyn would not be possible. They are the backbone of puppy loving, fence mending, dog walking, and mostly hugging on the dogs of Echowyn.
